Frers 36 Variants
The Frers 36, originally known as the F3, was first built by
Hinterhoeller. Later F3s were built with a two inch deeper keel that was
thinner and 400 pounds light. The hull number cut in is not known. A tall rig
was available.
The mold was then bought by Barry Carroll who produced the
boat with the taller rig and deeper keel. This boat was originally called the
F36. The deck mold was also new. Beginning with hull number 17, the keel and
rudder were changed to an elliptical shape.
