The overnight race covers a 45-nautical mile course and is a true test of seamanship, as teams dash across Massachusetts Bay and into the busier waters approaching Provincetown in the early hours of Saturday morning. Competitors must navigate fishing vessels, nighttime marine traffic, and a fleet of fellow racers—adding to the challenge and excitement. Yet, the rewards are just as vivid: abundant marine life, bioluminescence, and a vast, starlit sky create an unforgettable offshore experience. Billed as the ultimate scenic ocean tour capped by an epic party in Provincetown, the course takes racers from Boston to Jeffrey's Ledge off the coast of Gloucester, then on toward Plymouth before finishing at the tip of Cape Cod.
