We have exciting news to share: after a two-year hiatus, the Gosport Regatta event on Star Island is returning this year! We are so happy to once again team with Star Island Corporation to host this beloved sailing and community event. This year's Regatta will take place on Sunday, September 18^th.


We hope that we have many returning and new boats register for the Gosport Regatta this year.

We are working to make the Gosport Regatta one of the most exciting regattas in Northern New England. Sail racing history opened a new chapter with the revival of the Gosport Regatta in 2009. When racers and spectators gather for this year's Regatta, they will help write additional pages in the modern history of the Gosport Regatta. This Regatta is one of the oldest in America, the event had a colorful start in July of 1874, when it was organized by John Poor, President of the Stickney & Poor Spice Trading Co., to celebrate the grand opening of the Star Island Oceanic Hotel. It attracted more than 50 boats in 1874, among them America—the yacht for which the legendary America's Cup is named!

We are also looking for new and previous sponsors to support the Gosport Regatta again this year. The Gosport Regatta is a fundraiser for Star Island and the Piscataqua Sailing Association (PSA) to promote community, sailing and the New Hampshire Seacoast. Star Island Corporation and the Piscataqua Sailing Association hope everyone considers sponsoring. The sponsorship benefit levels are attached.
