Michael A Mentuck Memorial Ocean Race, July 8th
May 30, 2021

The Boston Yacht Club is pleased to announce the inaugural Michael A Mentuck Memorial Ocean Race, a new race which this year will replace the traditional Marblehead to Halifax Ocean Race and going forward will be held on alternate years to the MHOR. It has been named for Michael A. Mentuck, a past Commodore of the Boston Yacht Club and honorary member of the Royal Nova Scotia Yacht Squadron.

The MAMMOR will start the evening of July 8th and run from Marblehead Harbor to Matinicus Rock off the coast of Maine, a round trip of over 250 miles that allows participants to stay relatively close to shore, making it more accessible than other offshore ocean races. The Notice of Race has been posted on the race website at Registration is now open on Yachtscoring. And if you think you will need a mooring for your boat either before and/or after the race, please let us know as soon as possible.
